  • Saudi Arabia and UAE

    Available, rated 21+

    Both countries lifted their long-standing block on GTA in July 2025, when GTA V was cleared with a 21+ rating under new rating frameworks (confirmed by the regulators). GTA 6 is reported to be listed on the PlayStation Store in both countries.

    We haven't found clear, current reporting on whether GTA 6 is sold officially in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain or Oman. Check your local PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store or a local retailer.

    Games need government approval to be sold in China, and no Grand Theft Auto game has had an approved release there. There's no sign of GTA 6 being approved.

    PlayStation, Xbox and other major storefronts withdrew from Russia in 2022, so there's no official way to buy GTA 6 there.

    GTA 6 is on sale in Australia. New rules from March 2026 require age assurance for online games classified R18+, so online features may ask you to verify your age. Rockstar hasn't said how this will work for GTA 6.

Is GTA 6 available in my country?

GTA 6 launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in most countries on 19 November 2026 (Nov 19), at midnight local time. The main exceptions are China, where no GTA game has been approved, and Russia, where the major console storefronts no longer operate.

Is GTA 6 available in Saudi Arabia and the UAE?

It is reported to be available with a 21+ rating. Both countries cleared GTA V for release in July 2025 with a 21+ rating under new rating frameworks.

Is GTA 6 banned in eight countries?

That widely shared claim is reported to come from a misreading of a list of countries excluded from a GTA+ bonus, not a list of countries where the game can't be sold.

Will Australian players need to verify their age?

Possibly, for online features. Australian rules from March 2026 require age assurance for online games classified R18+. Rockstar hasn't explained how this will apply to GTA 6.
